F1 Academy Standings: Doriane Pin picks up another podium at Round 2

Iron Dame Doriane Pin picked up a win and a podium from the opening two rounds and currently sits second in the Drivers’ Championship.

2024 F1 Academy runner-up Doriane Pin kicked off the season with a win and a fourth-place finish from the first two races in Shanghai, leaving China at the top of the standings.

Round 2 in Saudi Arabia yielded another fourth place in the first race, and a hard-fought podium in the second. After four races, Doriane sits second in the points as F1 Academy turns its gaze to Miami.

Q: How are the F1 Academy standings calculated?

A: F1 Academy standings are based on points a driver accumulates in each race.

In Race 1, the top eight drivers receive points with the winner taking 10 points, second receiving eight, third sixth, and then descending at one point per position back to eighth. There is also a point for fastest lap in this race.

In the second race of the weekend, drivers earn points for finishing in the top 10 just like in F1, with first place receiving 25 points, second 18 points, third 15 points, and so on. Pole position for this race receives two points and there is another fastest lap point on offer.
